Full disclosure here in that I sampled the double top secret poblano version of TTs black IPA. Likely not available to the public as of the date of this review. Man am I feeling blessed - this is a killer beer that needs to be brewed in quantity and rolled out to the world. Likely the best integration of pepper in a beer I've sampled. Pours chocolate brown with a wisp of head. Poblano as salts the nose but fortunately the taste is significantly more balanced than the nose. Roasty sweet goodness with vegetal peppery flavors and just a pleasant bit of heat. Finish is quite clean. Love this beer.

Appearance: Arrives with a fudge brown color capped by a mocha head; gobs of lacing
Smell: A bit burnt and a bit tropical
Taste: Burnt and ashy, up front, with growing tropical fruit tones in the mid-palate; a hop resin flavors build, after the swallow, though the finish has some surprising sweetness
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: The beer has the right malt bill but I can't help but feel that it is missing something on the hop front as it never delivers in that aspect and, as a result, finishes a bit too sweet
