Double Dry-Hopped Hazy Double IPA. For this New England style IPA, we built a grain bill with clean Pilsner malt, as many fluffy flaked oats as possible and just a touch of lactose to produce the ideal mouthfeel for this style.
In order to set this haze far apart from any of our other Light Visions to date... In combination with our fruit forward yeast strain, we chose 100% New Zealand hops to make up the hop bill for this beer. Generous Double Dry Hopping additions of 2018 Wakatu, Pacifica & Nelson Sauvin intermingle to create a truly unique hop character.

Attractive, juicy, orange-gold body with full haze and a big off-white head that held on admirably and provided streaks of soapy lacing and alcohol legs.
Surprisingly mild aroma profile. Clear notes of stone fruit (especially peach), fresh grass clippings, grape musk, and pine. Faint tropical notes and a general breadiness.
On the tongue the beer is pleasantly sweet and much more pronounced, though still not “big.” Candied orange and lemon, guava juice, overripe berries, sweet green grapes, rye bread, damp cedar, dank greens. Bitter and herbal finish that competes admirably against the fruity, bready sweetness. Not sure this is one I’d go to on a regular basis, but it’s an interesting beer in a world awash with generic hazy IPAs.
Feel is velvety-smooth and medium-to-full bodied. Carbonation is on point. Pretty damn strong feel, though the lingering aftertaste is a bit anemic.
Really interesting beer.
