On draft.
Good color but a little on the thin side. With that being said, the off-white head retains some nice lace around the glass as it falls.
Nose on this is great. The maple and marshmallow are both easily picked out and give a great sweet, inviting presence to the beer. Some twangs of malt peel through, but a great “pastry” feel to this one so far.
Unfortunately here, while the maple hits hard right away for a second, the malt bill on this really swallows up what I’m getting on the palate overall. There’s a nice lingering touch of sweetness, but overall I wanted more from the adjuncts.
As I mentioned, a touch thin but it’s a smooth drinker. At only 9.7% there’s still a pleasant warmth, and the carbonation isn’t too distracting. Present, but soft.
