Had Abduction poured from pint can, no date, into nonic pint.
Pours medium-gold with clarity and huge off-white head, with excellent retention, leaving chunky rings of lace down the glass. Aroma of a little resin off pour, then some stone fruit (pear), floral and other juicy fruit aromas join, with some malt showing as warms. Mild carbonation delivers just a bit of smooth malt to start, under a fairly unprepossessing, thin fruit-ade mouthfeel, then moderate pine resin begins driving the train, carrying a little floral flavor (yep), and some sweet and sharp stone fruits, before a piney, ever-more-bitter, fairly West Coast finish, with a hint of malt beneath.
A rather pine-focused but welcome West Coast IPA effort.

The malt bill is a little too powerful here for me; some honey and lightly bitter floral & citrusy hop notes, but didn’t have enough bite from the hops and just drank too sweet. Definitely not my favorite from this series.
