Poured from 22oz bomber into a dimpled mug. Bottled 8/24/16.
Appearance: light golden hue with a little bit of haze and a pretty strong effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy white foam; I think it looks pretty nice.
Smell: quite grainy and slightly sweet with a bit of a green hop aroma. More of an American blonde ale aroma than a Belgian one.
Taste: grainy and malty with little hop character and a moderately bitter finish. This would pass as a decent American blonde, but there's little-to-no Belgian character here.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a great big carbonation and pretty satisfying creaminess.
Overall: it's not a terrible beer, but if they are going for a Belgian style then they didn't really get there.

This was quite the treat after travelling to visit Lagunitas Brewing and finding it to be closed (Monday and Tuesday). All of the beers were tasty and this one was especially to style.

(Draft, Bay Area Brew Fest, San Francisco 1/24/15) Quite possibly the strangest tasting beer ever. Our entire group confirmed the taste of corn tortillas.
