Old Adobe Stout

a solid little stout here. with all the body and roast on it, its easy to forget that its under 5% abv. it drinks a lot bigger than that even though its quite dry. there is a ton of cool grain going on, dense and coffee forward. its not real dissimilar to others out there, its a pretty simple recipe really i have to imagine, but the beer tastes great, is super fresh, and hits the spot even in warm weather. i found it just a touch filling for how light its supposed to be, sits just a tad heavy, but still is so dry and carbonated i keep on drinking it quickly. the bitterness lasts longer than anything else, and there is a yeast flavor in the middle of this, pizza dough, maybe irish, tough to tel through the roasted barley, but its nice. smooth as they come too. nothing way outside the box here, but a plenty serviceable example of the style and a nice introduction to this cool little brewery in petaluma. id definitely like to try some more of their stuff!
