I can't remember where or when I traded for this, as there wasn't a date or anything stamped on the bottom of the can. I hadn't had anything from Funk Brewing in ages and although this beer wasn't bad, there wasn't anything in particular that made this stand out to me. As much as I wanted to rate this higher, this was a relatively typical IPA that didn't break any new ground for me.
The pour to this was alright as this had a mild, muddled peach hue with a bit of sediment at the bottom of the liquid. A moderate amount of tropical fruit, yeast, and dankness was in the nose as the taste was quite chalky and dry on top of that. Lots of melon, cantaloupe, and dankness in the taste as I had a hard time finding the blood orange in this. This beer could have been more juicy as it felt like white cheese and dry tropical fruit with the end result being me needing a chaser of water to get this all down...
The booze in this was spot-on which was not surprising given how little head this had and how spotty and scattered the lacing was. Not a lot of heft was to be found here but if you wanted a beer full of gumdrop sweetness and a cloying, arid mouthfeel, then you've found your match with this offering from Funk Brewing. Just don't go into this with too high an expectation!

Rec'd a couple weeks ago with no can date.
Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a medium golden, hazy body with some pretty nice lacing. Nose has somewhat subdued aromas of tropical fruit and ever so slight pine. Flavor follows aroma with a nice mild, bitter finish that is fairly crisp and dry. Feel is adequate and overall, a nice offering from Emmaus, PA. Cheers!

IPA brewed with milk sugar and blood oranges. Cloudy, but definitely not a beer-shake. Hoppy and fruity, but not bitter. The blood orange works well with the hops used.
