Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my snifter. Beer is a part of a trade with Jeffmart22. Thank you!
The beer pours a hazy orange juice color with a creamy bleached white head of 2 cm foaming up from the pour. The foam fades slowly to a sturdy surface layer and leaves clingy lattice after each sip. Good staying power on the head here.
the aroma is some of the wheat twang you expect from a hefe, but also a good dose of hops. Im getting a bit of pine resin and some citrus notes. the hops arent overpowering and the weizen yeast notes hold their own throughout.
First sip reveals a lighter body and fine crisp carbonation. The physical traits make this a crushable beer and suitable for the style.
Flavor is some light grainy malt, a bit of lemony citrus and some wheat twang mixing with some resin and rindy hop bite on the finish. The beer is very drinkable and tasty. Its not overly robust, which is fine, and what it has is good. I wondered about dry hopping a hefeweizen, I think it works. Enjoy!
