Canned 2-21-19.
A - Medium gold color with nice clarity, a thin frothy layer of creamy white head, and a very generous amount of active, steady carbonation cascading up through the beer, and slight haziness. A little darker than a typical Helles but no complaints here.
S - Crisp crackery malt with some wet hay, light citrus, and very dry earthiness on the nose.
T - Crackery honey malt from start to finish with some grainy cereal presence. Lemon and citrus hits closer to the end and finishes with a refreshing lingering crisp earthy citrus bitterness along with some peppery spice.
M - Medium body with lots of carbonated pricklies on the tongue and a very dry finish.
O - An easy drinker and a nice American version of the style. Love the nose, this isn't a style I normally would seek out but I really appreciate how Funk designed this beer and will definitely buy more.
