Bought a 22oz bomber at New Seasons in Portland. Products from this brewery are not that easy to find beyond the brewery/taproom on Mississippi.
Pours tangerine with modest head, a little hazy, smell is bready.
Taste is not as described on the bottle. Not piney or citrusy, and most certainly no "savagely hoppy finish". To be fair, there IS some syrupy maltiness....but this does not "yield" to anything afterwards.
The aftertaste is malt syrupy.
The 8% abv is pretty light for a DIPA, and the malt disguises the booziness quite well.
Big disappointment as compared to Triple Double.
This beer is much more about malt, not hops. I wouldn't even refer to it as a west coast IPA, let alone a DIPA.

Appearance: hazy and cloudy orange color with a 1" head that slowly falls to a thick surface foam.
Smell: light tropical fruit and earthy aroma.
Taste: nice malt profile with pineapple, grapefruit, orange, a bit of pine, and some soft floral tones with a earthy bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp throughout with a slightly dry finish.
Overall: a nicely flavored DIPA that hits the spot.

Pours a nice, slightly opaque dark orange. No carb, very little head or lacing. Smell is hoppy, a rindy pomegranate in there. Not quite pine, maybe chewy pinecone?
Taste is more to the style. Hops, citrus in there, some pine, floral blossom, some green onion and garlic (not that dank--not a hop bomb in the normal sense). A confusion of hops seems to make everything just a little in unison instead of one thing being overly forward. Booze at 8% is quite hidden. Citrus without "juice", bitter is there just enough then bows out. Ends sticky and attractive. A nice DIPA that is well balanced. No complaints.

Amber color, minimal lacing, fine carbonation. Scent with notes of piney hops and malt. Bold flavor with a forward sweet malty-ness and hoppy finish. Smooth with refreshing carbonation. Very drinkable for a double IPA.

On tap at the Bier Stein last night.
The beer pours a copper orange color with good head retention and decent lacing. Those is attractive as well, as I pick up some dry citrus, light graham cracker and some underling tropical fruit as well. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, and this beer seemed to grow on me as I went along. Initially, I was sure there was sufficient hoppy bitterness to handle the fairly sweet malt on the mid palate, but I think the glass of Sump I had prior to this DIPA might have had something to do with that. This DIPA is actually quite well balanced, which enhanced the beer's drinkability I thought. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a long, delightfully bitter finish. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile, which again, I thought enhanced this beer's drinkability.
This is the first beer I've had from this new to me Portland brewery, and based on what I sampled last night, I'm interested in trying some more offerings from them. Nicely done.
