Have had both versions of this beer and this one only has a slight edge because it is fresh hopped. Both are really good beers. Had this beer 5 or 6 years ago.

A much more opaque look than its parentage, with a deep yellow to orange color and a smooth and foamy white head with nice spotty lacing.
No question about the Citra abundance here. Tropical fruits and citruses galore with a slightly sugary and doughy base.
Very, very, very pithy or rind like flavors. A bit odd actually, as there's even a bit of a rubber finish. Some citrus, plenty of pine.
Again with some intensities. Sharp carbonation, very bitter, and even dirty feeling. Not much sweetness to counter, and the dryness let's it just linger on forever.
Not sure if StormBreaker is having issues with bottling lately, but the last two offerings I've had from them this week have seemed off. Ironically on both ends of the spectrum as one was flat, sweet, and watery, now this being over carbonated and overly bitter without a while lot of flavor. Sorry StormBreaker... I live you, but this is not doing it for me. Cheers.
