*2025 Version with Fresh Citra hops
Look: Pours a bright-looking light orange with a nice-looking head that settles to a lid and leaves nice lacing behind
Aroma: I could smell it on the pour. Freshly cut orange peel and flesh, ripe strawberries, ruby-red grapefruit, wafts of peach, kumquats, and Tang drink powder
Taste: Whoa baby. Opens up with an orange and grassy hit of what tastes like chewing on raw hops and once the up-front intensity fades, begins to develop depth as waves of strawberry, grapefruit, and Tang crash in. Peach shows up a little in the middle but this citrus bomb cannot be slowed until a nice, pithy bite closes it out
Mouthfeel: Full, slick, medium-high carbonation, and moderately dry on the finish
Overall: This one is a winner, through and through. I love the regular version of this so was hunting the fresh hop version and was pumped to not only find it but post-purchase, saw that Citra is the fresh hop used, which furthered my excitement. Simply put, this beer is awesome and the fresh Citra really shines throughout. This might be the best or one of the top cold-side fresh hop Citra beers I’ve ever had. Highly recommended and I will be getting more
