Look: Reddish-brown with a nice, but short-lived light brown head that ends as a film and leaves a ring of lacing around the rim

Aroma: Freshly baked bread, warmed red apple flesh, boysenberries, toffee, wafts of floral hops, dried orange peel, and caramel

Taste: Opens up with a rich, bready malt blast that is immediately followed by apples and boysenberries. Spicy Fuggle hops break up the party briefly before it quickly resumes, joined by dried orange peel, dark honey, and caramel. Boysenberries come back to the forefront along with floral hop notes and subtly signal the close of the taste adventure

Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, clean, medium carbonation, and smooth on the finish

Overall: This is a tasty one. Sadly, I’ve seen a few versions of this over the last couple years but never had one so with some help from my brother, finally did. It’s awesome and a really different, fun, and delicious spin on a Winter Warmer with the boysenberry, orange peel, and Fuggle hops throwing a curve ball to the standard flavor profile of the more typical ones. Reddish brown mostly cloudy body with clear edges, tan head. Getting the boysenberry and orange powerfully in the nose, especially the berry! Toasted and earthy tones support. Taste features the sneaky tart boysenberry, the rising orange peel, tobacco, earthy hops, and toasted malts. Feel is medium bodied, smooth yet sneaky hoppy in texture on the finish. While it stands out as unique for the series, I found the boysenberry to be a bit overbearing on the nuances of the style
