Veterans United Craft Brewery

Tucked away in the back corner of an industrial park on the southeast side of town. Straight bar opposite the entrance seats about 8 with about a dozen tables about the room. Veteran themed artwork abounds. 20 beers on tap. Friendly bartender.

Recently stopped after not having been there for a few years. Been there maybe 10 times. Go there for the beer, it's a beautiful tap room that features their beers, not a brew house wrapped around a hamburger. Does not have a scenic view or any local neighborhood vibe. I 95 is the background theme.

The Wacky Badger Hazy is really good, and if I lived closer would try their many rotating beers as well. The other well known regular beers are very good and very predictable. Never spoke with the owner, but his strategy must be to make a good beer and market it in the region versus overcharge tourists or unsuspecting locals. The Veterans brand is available widely in the Jax area.

Started in his garage my friend, his neighbor told me. Great small business story. Good beer too.

Location is very hidden but once you find it for the first time makes it an easy find. The beer selection is very predictable and they do a lot of canning. If you can get your hands on some of the pilot batches could change your mind on the place. I really like the military vibe as here in Jacksonville is known as a Navy town.

The brewery is kind of secluded in a back lot of an industrial park. The selection is decent, lots of traditional styles, from Altbier to NEIPA, and roasty stouts. Nothing was crazy stand out but all the beer was well made and true to style. Cool retro 80's pop and new wave music on the radio, great service, very helpful staff. Lots of fun swag for sale, hats, shirts, stickers, growlers, some 6 pack cans and crowlers too. 6 years old and moving along nicely, worth a visit in the area. No food but a few chips and snacks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Located in the deep recesses of an industrial park, this small brewery has a taproom with about 10 tables and a small bar. There's also a private event room 6 on site brewed beers: none of these were exceptional but all were drinkable or better. Also had 4 guest taps including 2 ciders, andone each from Stone and Sierra Nevada. Had decent live music on the Friday night I visited,
