Spent some time here recently. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. The beers that I had were great. There was a food truck. I understand that they have a regular rotation of food trucks. Parking was plentiful. The location is north of the busyness of downtown Columbus. I will definitely go back to Zaftig the next time I am in Columbus.

Great beer and character for a place in an semi-industrial area.

Solid place, big and laid back. Cheap beers, about 12 or so on tap, couple bottles to go. All the beers were good though nothing blew me away...just s a lot of good beers of "normal" styles. Worth checking out and I'll be back.

Nice, laid back place in north Columbus. All their beers are high octane, but I tried the Juicy Lucy, 3 Socks, and Too Cans IPAs. All were very well done. Servers were very friendly. No food other than pretzels. Plenty of parking. A worthwhile stop.

Zaftig is a neat lil' hang out near the gigantic Budweiser plant. It's perfect location for me as there is an ice rink where my son practices .3mi away. It's a casual easy going place....easy to hang out. Picnic tables on one side....bar high tops in the other. Brewery viable through a glass partition. Selection is decent...but there is nothing under 7% so hanging and having more than two is tough. Quality of beer is good and it's definitely worth a visit.

Though this place is not a fine eatery or flashy as far as seating goes the
service and quality of the offerings are not to be ignored. Knowledgeable
staff, friendly, polite, and approachable. They do have food trucks that show
up, and the hours are a bit late to start, but they are a brewery, nothing more;
YET what they produce is all exceptional and well crafted with a pretty decent selection
for such a small brewery. Comically enough they are in the shadow of the evil empire----
Budweiser----which is a stones throw from where they are located. Patrons were all
nice and it is just a nice and peaceful place to grab a growler (although they sell only howlers
for some reason but fill growlers) and chat with the locals who truly have a treasure in their
midst.
Next time I would also like to meet the brewery cat who pays attention to the details
of the brewery. A great place to visit---complain about no food all you wish or a stripped
down atmosphere----it is a fantastic brewery and if that is all it is I am more than happy to make
the voyage north to visit.
Cheers

Nice, larger taproom, looming under the glare of the big Bud brewery across the interstate. Big beers are usually on offer, most above 8 or 9%. Beer is pretty solid and service is always friendly.

Zaftig opened their new taproom just a couple of months ago (summer 2016). I stopped by after landing at Columbus airport on my way back to the Dayton area. Easy to get to from I-71 and I270. Small industrial park location. On a hot Saturday afternoon, there were 5 people at the bar. Very laid back vibe. I would've loved to stay for a beer and chat, but had a 70 mile drive in front of me. So I filled two howlers and bought a bottle of Black Pearl to take home. They had 5 beers on tap the day I visited. Hopefully as they grow the selection will increase a bit. I look forward to visiting again.

New place on Huntley Road. Very nice space. Half dozen of their beers on tap. Merch for sale. Food truck out front. The beer was very good. Had a barrel aged big barleywine and black perle. Would definitely stop back. great atmosphere. Would be great if they had a few more beers on tap.

Popped into Zaftig, and lucky me, it was their 1st year anniversary celebration. What good fortune! The place was pretty packed with a lot of people around, which is a very good sign. I had one beer and it was very good (barrel aged strong ale). Got one growler and I assume it will be awesome too. Not sure if the selection listed is typical or if they loaded up for the anniversary. But when I went there was quite a bit available.
The decor is purely industrial. I initially passed the place and turned around at the Budweiser plant (irony, it's about two blocks up the street). I think I probably wasn't paying attention. Anyways, the beer is solid, which is always worth a visit from me. If you are tired of the fancy pants looking spots of Columbus and want some really good beer, this is the place for you. Really glad I made the effort to visit.

If you visit columbus and want to try amazing beer, seek out or go to Zaftig. They are only open wed and sat for now, but they are my favorite brewery in columbus. Everything they brew is Zaftig (full bodied). You can also find their beer on tap at some of the better craft restaurants and tap houses in town. Their tap house is in a little warehouse strip center within the shadows of the Budweiser plant off schlock road. No frills, not swanky. Card tables and folding chairs. But that is also part of what makes the place cool. Y feel like you are hanging out in your friends garage making and drinking beer.
They are increasing their production and will begin bottling soon (can't wait for that)

Tiny brewery, huge brews! Great place to stop by after work for a beer. Any more than that & you'd better call a cab.
