Pours a dark brown with a nice tan head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving a thin head and some nice lacing. The mouthfeel is light but given the low ABV to be expected. Nice roasted taste with just a hint of smoke. Recommended by the beer lady at the local Lowe's Food and turned out better than I expected. Just a few days away from September so this will be a nice fall beer for me.

Now this is a local beer. The brewery is located about two miles from my house in the same development as my gym and the day care my son went to. Pours as solid jet with cream colored head. Nose is chocolate and roastiness. Maybe a touch of coffee. Looking good.

A touch too much carbonation initially but it regains its footing with dark chocolate and smokiness. Smooth and silky, even for the style. Texture is key in schwarzbier, and this one has got the goods. Not an explosion of flavor, but solid for the style.

Again, I could go for a little more boldness of flavor and a tad less carbonation but these are minor quibbles. Solid first review for local girls Bombshell.

Nice dark beer with a slightly light tan head. This thing smells just like a porter with a nice roasted malt smell and notes of coffee. This is a really nice drinking beer. It has a nice roasted malt, almost slightly smoked, flavor with a decent level of sweetness and a slightly bitter finish that seems to come from the coffee flavors. This is a really nice drinking beer.
