Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a moderately hazy, deep coppery amber with a half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, tea, earthy spices and continental grassy hops. Flavor is biscuit malt, citrus and piney hops, lemon, grapefruit, black tea, light mixed tropical fruit, hints of camphor; interesting. Finishes with resinous citrus rind and piney hops. Medium bodied with light creaminess and sharp carbonation. The look and aroma are reminiscent of English IPAs, but more spicy. The flavor is unique with a lot of bright phenolic hop flavors in addition to more traditional noble hop character. The finish lives up to the monster name, reasonably intense and herbal. Somewhat rough and busy, but I looked forward to each sip. Off beat, hoppy and quaffable.

Orangey amber color with plenty of foam in the Crooked Line tulip. Fabulous aromatics spewing out of every orifice. Mango mixed with resiny pine is the main theme. Lovely nose of honeysuckle. Apricot is the flavor, but then it gets quite bitter with even more woody-type astringency.
This is kind of a monster, but it's fairly sippable. Coarse and a little harsh. Raw hops gnawing at your tongue. Slaves to the hop goddess will lap this up. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market on West Point Loma.

22oz Bottle poured into pint glass.
A- Golden Brown, Clear, Fantastic color, Medium head.
S- Resiny hops mixed with a earthy fruit rhine type smell hint of pine.
T- Smooth and well balanced. Hops are prominent but not overpowering. Aftertaste is hops hops hops, but not too bitter.
M- Good drinkable viscosity.
Picked this up at Valley Farms in Spring Valley. Approx 3-5 weeks old. First time trying it out of a bottle. Had it on tap before at Brody’s Burgers & Beers in Jamul. Seems fresh and comparable.
Really nice smooth taste and drinkability for a 9.2% Double IPA. You can smell and taste the hops but the aftertaste isn’t overpowering like some DIPAs. According to the label they used Stonefruit.
Worth trying; would drink again. Bought an extra 22oz to share with the cuz.
