a solid ipa here, lighter drinking and hopped exclusively with simcoe from what i understand. the beer is golden and clear and really nicely refined, with a flavor profile that really features the spicy side of the hop, i get less of that intense alpha acid bitterness than i usually do from simcoe, and the malt base is light enough where i can really taste the nuances of this hop pretty clearly, although the grain is far from flavorless here. some honey sweetness to it, and i think that brings out some of the oily aspects of the hops, then i get vegetal spice, pepper, and citrus, its really clean though, not a lingering hop burn on the tongue at all, and the medium body, soft carbonation, low alcohol, and relative dryness makes it a really easy drinking hop forward beer. its west coast in nature, but somehow less intense, which i am digging in a food context for sure. i think not as balanced as their house ipa, but a cool showcase of a different side of a now very common hop. nicely made beer here, super fresh at the source.

16oz tap, pours a golden orange color with a white head and lacing, smells of pineapple and fruit, dank hops fill the palate with a sweet malt background, mouth feel was thick with hops with a sweet finish, tasted like a 2ipa but drank like a ipa.
