Canned 11/24/25; drank 1/21/26 @ Roadrunner Lodge.
Dark brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big tan head; frothy lacing remained.
Medium roast coffee bean, faint minerality & faint cream notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Slightly burnt medium roast coffee, caramel & faint cream flavors; a mildly burnt note on the finish.
Coffee forward but 'off' enough that I can't really get behind it.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the old Town location as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear nearly opaque rich amber with thin off white ring head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had malt and roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with light chocolate roast malt base with mellow coffee and bitter finishing hop presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

L: dark brown, thick mocha head, great looking beer
S: coffee, chocolate, roasted malts. very nice.
T: in line with nose, tons of flavor
M: great feel for this beer, just enough body to not be a thin porter but not so much that it isn't an enjoyable beer even on the hottest of palm desert days
O: great beer, one of the best coffee porters i have had

Pours a thin dark brown/black color with a thin tan ring and lacing. Smell has a nice fresh roasted coffee aroma with some charred malts. Taste was coffee first and very nice with a sweet vanilla roasted malt finish. Mouth feel is thin in this and not as velvet creamy as i would have liked. f you like fresh coffee in your porters you will like this. lower carbonation with a sweet finish but a very nice brew.

A good coffee aroma and aftertaste, the actual taste is of coffee but a bit lighter with a little bit of the malts themselves sneakng through. Of the 4 beers I have tried from these guys this is by far the best, makes me want to try more of their porter/stout selection. I wish there had been more lacing and head with a bit darker/richer coloring to help sell the coffee aspects of this porter, but oh well this is still a very drinkable and enjoyable beer.

From Total Wine Palm Springs for $8. Maybe a touch too sweet.
