Franks Red is a good red and in fact ordered as a pint after my sampler. The beer pouted a clear amber with white head that left a mild lace. The scent and taste had hints of toast and caramel. The finish was slightly sweet. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it went well with the excellent pizza.

sweet aroma and lightly sweet flavor.

Poured out a clear, amber color with a one finger white head. It left rings of lace. It smelled of roasted malt and hints of piney hops. It had a very strong roasted malt taste with a pretty big dose of bitter hops. A crisp and sharp ale with a dry finish.

Day Block's Frank's Red arrives a ruby red color. The head is an inch in height, and recedes slowly leaving ample lacing. The aroma is a balance of malt and hop. There are some nice toffee and caramel notes with some grapefruity hops. The taste has the same components as the aroma, but with the hops coming forward a bit more. There is a nice mild bitterness in the finish too. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a velvety texture, and appropriate carbonation. Overall, this is a good red ale that I will drink readily.
