A growler from the brewery 9/29/21 into pint glasses.
L: Dark caramel, black tea, dark amber, thin white head to edge foam, mild carbonation, light sticky lacing.
S: Dark fruit, berries, tropical fruits, spicy hops, biscuit malt.
T: Zippy sweet hops, citrus rind, fruit loops breakfast cereal, toasted cereal grains, sweet bread, light resin, lightly bitter.
F: Fresh, a bit juicy medium to med-heavy mouthfeel that is smooth drinking with a med-long finish that isn't too dry. It is a little bit sticky.
O: A good tasting fairly strong flavored IPA. It has excellent drinkability and has a similar flavor profile as Bell's Two Hearted. Very fresh, well balanced and is excellent in it's style.

Leonard Day pours a darker amber color, with a nice sized long lasting head. Earthy aroma. Flavor is dank, and earthy, bitter finish. Good feel. Overall, very dank, very earthy, a more balanced IPA.

I tried this at the brewery whilst in town for a work conference. The scent and taste carried nice tropical fruit presence. It was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Slightly above-average IPA. Hop bitterness, citrusy flavors of grapefruit, with a little bit of pine and resin. Nice malt backbone and a good beer but nothing extraordinary.

Nice IPA but there are a thousand other IPAs exactly like it.

From the brewery - "Pilsner and Pale Ale Malts from N and hops grown in southern WI. We hopped this ale at every state, from the mash to the fermenter, focusing on a big citrusy flavor and aroma."
