Day Block's Leonard Day DIPA arrives a clear ruby color. The head is half an inch in height, and recedes into a decent amount of lacing. The aroma is perfumy with mandarin orange, tangerine, passion fruit, grapefruit rind, and a faint sweetness. The taste is less hop forward the aroma. There is more grapefruit, some pine resin, and a sharp betterness that runs throughout the sip and really shines in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium-full bodied, dry, velvety in texture, and well carbonated. Overall, this is a good DIPA. It isn't earth shattering, but it is enjoyable and satisfying.
