Day Block's Centennial Pale Ale arrives a bright red color. The head is small, and recedes quickly into almost no lacing. The aroma is dank with grapefruit, blood orange, and a little pine. The taste is sharply bitter for a pale ale. It seems more like an IPA to me, and that is just fine. The are some nice grapefruit and pine notes. The finish is again a nice, sharpe, lingering bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation, and a velvety texture. Overall, this is a good beer that I would recommend. The brewery's chalkboard lists it as coming in at 32 IBU's, but it tastes much bigger.
