On nitro. This beer arrives an opaque brownish black color. The head is a cream tan color, dense, and stays put. Lacing is pretty. The aroms is lightly roasty with some creme brulee, and hints of dark chocolate. The taste is quite muted compared to the aroma. There is some chocolate and roasted malt in the sip, but it is quickly overpowered by a roasted/burnt malt type bitterness. The bitterness lingers, and is quite unpleasant. The mouthfeel is typical of a nitro pour: chewy with low, fine carbonation. Overall, the bitterness in the finish is too much for my liking although I can see it working for others. I can't see myself ordering this beer again.
