Pours a beautiful brown color with a big light brown frothy head. Good lacing,

Aroma is burnt coffee, some sweet caramel malts, hints of chocolate.

The taste features some burnt coffee and chocolate. Sweetness comes through from the blonde ale aspect. Possibly some slight grainy and biscuit malts.

Medium-light body. Super easy to drink. No carbonation. Very milky and smooth.

Overall, better than the rating indicated (could be due to lack of reviews). The blend of styles actually worked quite well, despite being dominated by the porter aspect.

im going to go out on a limb here and call this brilliant. a blend of porter and blonde ale, maybe near 50/50, and i think its really successful. the sweet lightness of the blonde really lightens up the porter, but it doesnt turn it into a brown ale. it keeps its roasty properties, and it still has some body to it, some bitterness, and some yeast character. the carbonation is more like the blonde, almost effervescent, and it brings life to the dark side. im not sure either base beer would be medal worthy, but their fusion to me is special. not only is a it a good idea, but its pulled off well, i mean, it creates something totally distinct, with a quick finish and a very unique grain complexion overall. i would be really curious to get my hands on some more of their stuff, this is excellent and super sessionable. thanks to the beer census guys for hooking this up for me.

I was skeptical at 1st. pfft, blended beer. The Porter overwhelms the blonde, but it should. The Blondes contribution is a clean finish for sure. And a little hint of... Fruit from the blonde??

I think this would be an interesting beer for the a geeky beer guy.

Helps when the server at Capt'n Mikes Kenosha, WI knows the uniqueness of what he/ she if offering

This pours a very dark brown color with a slight foamy head. The aroma has a rich malt tone of a good porter. The taste is big and malty like a porter but finishes with a bitter after taste. I don’t know if I would say you would notice that this is a blended beer, but rather a thinner porter.
