Pours a pitch black coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smells intensly of smoked, roasted malt and peat, with hints of chocolate, licorice and earthy, herbal hops. Taste follows the nose with an intense roasted, smoked and peaty malt character and strong notes of chocolate and licorice, with lighter notes of leather and light herbal/musty/earthy hops. Finishes with a dry, light bitterness and some smoked peat lingering in the aftertaste. Thick mouthfeel with a rich body and medium carbonation.

As someone who is always on the lookout for Scotch BA Stouts, this is the best one I've had so far, even beating the likes of Pohjala or Buxton. It just has a fantastic smoked peat character that is quite distinct but not overpowering and a great dry and bitter finish.
