Pours a deep, dark amber, almost mahogany, coloration with a medium, creamy head. Smells of bready, caramel malt and citrus hops, with notes of orange blossoms, grapefruit and peppery spice. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by bready, caramel malts and slightly flowery citrus hops, with a distinct, spicy rye character. Notes of orange rind, grapefruit, pine and peppercorns. Finishes with a medium bitterness and a spicy aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A fantastic West Coast Rye IPA that combines the resinous bitterness of a WC IPA with the spicy character of a Rye IPA in a very nice way.
