Pours jet black with some fine, chocolate colored foam.

Smell is sweet with notes of chocolate, coffee, oak, vanilla, cinnamon and a hint of rye.

Taste is sweet and chocolatey with notes of coffee, oak, floral rye and a bit of booziness. Soft and not overly aggressive with a bit of bitterness on the finish.

Mouthfeel is medium to full, smooth and well carbonated.

Overall, a very nice stout, would have liked a little bit more bourbon.

A good, but not great BA Imperial Stout.
The mouthfeel is disappointing and i'd wish the flavor would come through more.

Pours a pitch black coloration with a small, creamy head. Smell is a little too hoppy and floral, with some chocolate, vanilla and a mild herbal/spicy note coming through as well. Taste follows the nose, just being a little too floral and hoppy, although with a some nice notes of chocolate, vanilla, licorice and herbal/earthy spice as well. Finishes with a light bitterness and some earthy/herbal notes and chocolate lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a rich body and medium carbonation.

After their fantastic South Islay BA Imperial Stout, this honestly came as a bit of a disappointment. It's okay, but not that well-balanced, just being a bit too floral and hoppy despite some nice chocolate and licorice notes. The Rye Bourbon treatment is notciceable, but doesn't come through all that much and is just not that well integrated into the overall flavor profile.
