Copenhagen 12/6 2024. 33 cl bottle from Rewe, Süderquerweg, Hamburg. Army green label with a drawing in black of a Goat’s head en face and the name of the beer in white letters. As "Kehrwieder Hamburger Senatsbock (2023) Extra Brut Edition".
Pours opaque dark mahogany with a mall off-white head. Settles as thin patch of foam floating about. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty and sugary odor mingling with sweet dark alcohol. Brown sugar, syrup and toffee. Dark fruits Raisins and plums. Dark liqueur.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, a bit sticky, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Sweet and laden with alcohol.
