Pours a cloudy dark brown/red color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of tartness, dark citrus, yeast, sweet malt, hint of sugar, hint of grass, and a hint of wood. Fits the style of a Flanders Red Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. There is a noticeable tanginess, tartness, and dryness. Tastes of dark citrus, sweet malt, yeast, tartness, hint of alcohol, hint of wood, and a hint of dry hops. Overall, this is a great beer. Dry, tangy, tart, refreshing, and complex. Everything I'm looking for in a Flanders Red Ale.

On tap at the brew pub
12oz pour into a tulip
A: dark ruby almost brown, tan head build nicely then fades quickly, small patches of lacing
S: lots of vinous dark fruits, lactic tartness, a but oaky, very nice
T: very sour, and delicious; lots of vinous dark fruits, caramel, subtle funk and a bit of oak. Fantastic
M: medium body, heavy carbonation which is perfect for the style, drying on finish, good drinkability
O: great beer, probably my favorite Flander's Red that I've ever had

A: Had this beer on-tap, poured into a tulip glass, at Edmund's Oast. Had a rust color with a slightly cloudy consistency. There was an inch of foamy head that lasted a fair amount of time. Almost no lacing to speak of.
S: A strong aroma of fruit, yeast, and a sugary quality.
T: Tasted of a little yeast, dark fruit, and a hint of malt. I didn't pick up much of the advertised caramel, but it was good on its own. Definitely sour, but not overpoweringly so. A good balance.
M: A well-carbonated beer with a prickly finish. Medium-bodied.
O: On the whole, a very good sour ale, especially considering Edmund's has not been open very long. A lively, tasty beer.
