Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a weizen glass. The appearance was a soft burnt copper color with only a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Sliding messy lace. The aroma had some spicy clove, but seemed real "clove" as if it was specifically used in the beer itself. Then banana bread with some caramel/toffee malts. The flavor was basically the same as the aroma - sweet and spicy. Doughy aftertaste and finish. The feel was light bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Soft carbonation, and the ABV felt fine. Overall, as a hefeweizen, I didn’t see it, seemed like they wanted to brew a fake version of this and not take the time to get a German weizen yeast in there to do the work of producing an authentic German styled hefeweizen.

My mother in law got this for me simply because the bottle art is cute. But is the beer? Bright orange murky body with a white cap, spotted lacing. Wheat, orange, bready yeast, coriander and lesser so clove in the nose. Taste has more of a biscuit than bready note, cutesy indeed, otherwise the same as the nose. Feel is light but never thin, but the wheat is allowed to star with yeast playing off of it and malt as the backbone

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a mug glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a large white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains wheat, bananas, light caramelized malts, some citrus and a faint touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of wheat and a hearty malt character. Then some mildly sweet flavors of bananas, caramel and citrus come in. The hops presence is very mild and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly bready.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, it’s a decent beer to drink for a while but there are better choices within the style that I would pick first.

Bonus .5 points for phenomenal label art. Pours a pale straw color but sits opaque golden yeller in mine goblet. 2 finger hef-tastic head.
Big, busty head dims the aromas at first but so I pick out clove and general wheat and brown banana sugar. There’s a nice rustic character to the spice notes.’Nilla Wafer?
Sugary clovey banana of a traditional German hef. A little toasty which is an interesting nuance for a hef. Not an amber wheat but not to be passed over either. Small bubble carbonation makes for a spritzy, course mouthfeel.

From the 550 ml. bottle. Sampled on April 26, 2014.
The pour is a cloudy pale, straw yellow with a humongous white foamy head and busy carbonation. The head never settles completely. It is unfiltered and looks it.
The aroma character is full of wheat, yeast, pale toasted biscuit, a banana bite, and the vaguest but still noticeable hop crispiness.
The body is medium, smooth, and highly refreshing making it easy to drink very fast and often especially if it were hot and humid outside.
The taste erupts in the same sensations as the nose with this toasted pale malt flavor, wheat, banana, and mild hop finish that is more clean and crisp rather than bitter. While it does not have those distinctive traditional German characteristics it is still a likable brew.

22 oz. absolutely nice color. Big white head.
Moderate to high carbonation. True style. This Hefe is very much a traditional Bavarian hefeweiss with a nice banana/clove finish and the head retention is ok.
Very good taste. Overall: Definitely a very good beer. I will buy it again.
Nice result for me. Prost!

Bottle from Bert’s Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a decent sized bubbly bone white head that shows moderate retention. Aroma’s of clove, pepper, banana dominate the nose with a hint of bubble gum, bread, and light sugar to round it all out. The flavor is a bready, honey like sugary base countered with a deluge of phenols in the form of clove and pepper. Light fruity flavors as well a hint of earth round out the flavor quite well. Medium body with a moderate to high level of carbonation and a sweet spritzy mouthfeel. That is a pretty damn good Hefe right there! I quite enjoyed this beer.
