Very Good
Notes: Helles” means “light or bright”, which refers to the beer’s pale color. KCBC’s Helles is a golden, Munich-style lager, which is the most popular style in Bavaria. This clean, crisp, medium-bodied lager has a pronounced bread and honey malt background; a clean medium noble hop bitterness; and a smooth refreshing finish. Our Helles is simple, honest and delicious. Just like homemade bread, you can enjoy it every day with almost any meal and never grow tired of it.

Pours bright golden color with tons of carbonation and a fluffy 2 finger head.
The aroma is very straight forward, super bready with light grass and lemony hop overtones.
This is a phenomenal helles, big cracker malt body well balanced out with a crisp dry noble hop finish. I’ll be getting this any chance I get.

Best lager I ever had. Taste is delicious and it very easy drinking. Carbonation is spot on. Really clean crisp finish with a mix of a subtle citrus and biscuit taste.

Pours a crystal clear, bright, golden color with a gorgeous two-finger head. Bready malt aroma that's super clean. Incredibly smooth with more bready characters, a lemony and grassy hop bite, and subtle white grapes undertones. Finish is dry, crackery, and clean.

This is an awesome Helles.

From the bottle, it pours amber with a modest head, eventually thinning to a ring and island, with some lacing. Bready scent in the nose. The mouth gets a nice helles flavor! Yum!

Pours an effervescent gold with 3 fingers of ivory colored head. Above average head retention & lacing

S: Grassy, some breadyness when warm

T: Bready, dry, grassy, a touch of lemon up front. Bready sweetness, a little grassyness & lemon once warm. Finishes dry, crisp, grassy

MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation, nice balance

A well put together helles, well worth a six pack purchase

Bottled 7 27 17 A perfectly cromulent Helles.
Bright gold when poured into a glass at a 45 degree angle. Ample foam.
Hilarious that some would fault the appearance for being cloudy, when there are explicit instructions on the label how to decant the bottle if you want clear beer. There's also this thing called Kellerbier, and it's great.

Aroma is bready, doughy, and biscuity with a light lager yeast presence.
Malt forward taste, smooth and bready with a hint of sweetness, finishes crisp and clean. Light to medium bodied, the yeast seems to give it a fuller feel. Ample carbonation, smooth and sessionable.

starting to see this one around the kansas city area a little bit now, its a great beer this time of year, and screams session beer at the baseball game in the summer kind of thing to me, light but flavorful, traditional but laid back sort of beer, of the same high quality as the other authentic german styles these guys do, and despite have a rather prominent pale malt flavor, it is also impossibly light and easy drinking with a flavorful european yeast strain and a nice briskness in the finish, refreshing and mellow. bright pale yellow in color, it looks like a pils and served in a pils glass, tall headed and bubbly. dry crackery malt aroma and flavor, pils-esque in that way, with a little less hop and a little more yeast to finish, but super light and drinkable, basically a pils turned into an ale, at least in flavor. awesome carbonation and pretty dry as it washes down big gulp after big gulp. i have liked the beer these guys make, and the more classic the style, the better the execution seems to be. i have a lot of respect for that type of brewing, and these guys do it well! perfect summer outdoor beer.

For a lager this beer is very hazy. A very biscuity flavor topped off with the the finish of Nobel hops.

Not what you would expect from a golden lager.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, straw-yellow color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of toasted caramel and grassy/floral notes. Nice toasted caramel flavor with a a good blend of sweet and bitterness.
