This is a pale Doppel wheat bock similar in taste to our Hefeweizen, but with intensified flavors and body to the higher starting gravity (18°Plato).

12oz bottle opened 3-19-23.
1.5 finger white head, good retention, fades steadily to a solid cap. Golden body with a touch of haze and lenty of visible carbonation racing bottom to top. Initial hint of smoke followed by banana and yeasty spice. Flavors of banana, clove, spice, and wheat. Medium body with a nice sparkling carbonation. Medium length finish that has a bit of sweetness. Very Good.

Cloudy goldenrod pour with a huge white head and sporadic thick white lacing. Smells of wheat, banana, orange, brown sugar, and clove. Taste is much the same, a little more robust but has great balance between the wheat and boozy sweetness. Feet is wheat backed, sharp yet has soft esters, boozy gently. Really nice work here, perfect for the holidays

12oz bottle from Tavour. Hazy golden, minimal head. Bready aroma, light notes of banana. Taste is sweet, bubblegum and banana, but in a cloying way. Not even a decent weizen here.

Pale golden color with a touch of haziness; thick, frothy, white head. Beautiful banana and clove aroma; lightly sweet. Rich flavor combo; banana, honey, and lightly sweet malt; decent bit of bitterness towards the finish. Medium-heavy body; a decent residual sugar feel; semi-sweet body with a touch of dryness.
This is a very nice and tasty doppelbock. The wheat base and hefeweizen-like smell and taste make for a great combination. A beautiful beer treat.

12oz bottle. Poured out a slightly cloudy, golden yellow color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. it left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of clove, banana, bubblgum and sweet wheat. Nice cracked wheat taste with clove, banana and other spices.

Pours a hazed & effervescent gold with 3 fingers of pear colored head ( into a Hoffbrau Muncher Kindl Weiss glass ). Drops bright, but has no head retention or lacing
S: Green banana peel & breadyness
T: Sweet & green bananas, cloves, dryness, some lemon & a touch of yeasty breadyness upfront. More lemon notes mix with green banana, grassyness & bready notes. Finishes grassy with green banana, cloves & dryness
MF: Medium body, low carbonation, a little grtittyness
Easy to drink, true to style

L: hard pour produces large dense head of tight white foam. Hazy golden yellow of most unfiltered wheats.
S: I am in heaven. Banana, clove, raw doughy esters from the yeast dominate my nose.
T: sweeter than I expected with clove leading the charge followed by faint grain ending in a tart yeasty retreat.
F: thick almost syrupy coats the tongue.
O: This is like a hef on steroids. I love it. If you like hefewiesen than imagine all those flavors amped up with a 7.5 abv. Easy drinking and dangerous. Just lovely thank you KC bier.

This is damn near the perfect Weizenbock. The subtle mix of banana and clove is lingering around but not too proud. The haziness is there, like a harvest moon in Kansas. The only Weizenbocks that might be as good or better would be Ayinger or Vitus. This is a beer worth going out of your way for.
