Poured from a bottle. Dark brown in color with a tan head and some lacing. Smells of roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor include malt, chocolate and a hint of dark fruit. Smooth, light. Pretty good

2017 Edition. Poured a dark, dark burgundy color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of toasted caramel, roasted malt and some chocolate. Sweet caramel and rich malt flavor. Mild bitterness and clean finish.

A very light drinking dark beer, with some spice and roast. The beer doesn't have quite enough body to it for my personal tastes, but it is a highly drinkable winter beer if you're looking for something well south of stout-sized.
