(review from July 2022) Maltheads rejoice! Unbelievably well balanced&tasty eisbock w/huge raisiny/fruity/caramelly/slightly sweetish flavor&great palate heft. Exceptionally clean, light, mouthcoating finish & if this is 10.7% I'm 10.7 feet tall! Dangerously smooth&quaffable!!!!

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of biscuity malt, sweet toffee and some boozy notes. Lots of caramel and toffee sweetness with a big dose of malt and a mild bitterness.

Sampling a cellar temp 12 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Beer is courtesy of BIF33 and @swenny916. excited to try this one, from a new brewery.
The beer pours a slightly hazy copper color with some lazy streams of carbonation rising to the surface. I do have a fizzy dense eggshell white head of 3.5 cm foam up in the glass. this foam fades to a sturdy edge layer and one dense island in the center of the glass. Some decent lacing when I swirl the glass.
Aroma is sort of mild, but I get some grainy malt, biscuity notes actually, and some pear scents too. Not really any hop profile and the ABV is hidden, which is nice for a bigger ABV.
First sip reveals a sort of creamy texture on a medium bodied beer. Carbonation is very soft and mild as it rolls gently across my palate. the texture is what catches me as I didnt expect the creaminess for this style of beer.
Flavor is similar to the nose with some biscuity malt, a bit of toffee and again pears. Generally sweet and sort of malty with a dose of bitey black pepper on the finish. This bite reveals the booziness and it does catch up to me a little by the end of the glass.
AN interesting brew from an under made style that I am enjoying and would drink again.

Pours a sunburst orange with thick fog to the transparency. Two and a half fingers of dense, off-white foam hug the top of the beer for a long while after the pour. Aroma is caramel, toffee, raisins, and fig layered over and amid hop notes of herbal, resiny, and grassy, and bready, caramely, earthy malts. Smell is dense, but refrains from showing its alcohol. Flavor profile is caramel, toffee, and raisins with bready, caramely, earthy malts and resin, herbal, spicy and grass hops. It has a little sticky hop play at the finish, lingering a little while after the rest of the notes drift away. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a smooth texture that has a very light chalky texture throughout. It leans more towards the smooth side than the textured side. Overall, dense notes pack in some sweetness and zesty hops without ever showing off the alcohol. Remarkably less 'dark' tasting than many Eisbocks, but the label does describe it as a Pale Eisbock Lager, stemming from its Pale Dopplebock Lager base beer (Carolator.)
Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 12oz bottle. This bottle has about 6 months of age on it, and has been stored in the fridge for the duration of its life post-purchase (picked up release weekend.)

I received this beer in a BIF, I do enjoy German beers. This beer is an Eisbock with a high ABV. The beer is 46 degrees and served in a tulip glass. The pour of the beer created a frothy and airy one-fingered head with excellent retention. The head dissipated slowly leaving some lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 20, dark amber color with orange hues. The beer is clear with some carbonation bubbles visible. The head retention was unexpected on this beer.
The initial aroma in the bready, orange, and cloves. Nosing further, I detect malty sweetness and some fruity esters. The beer is a big malty bomb.
The flavors in the beer are toffee, caramel, biscuit, toasted crackers, cloves, banana, malty sweetness, fruity esters, and oranges.
The mouthfeel of the beer is warming and coating.
The body of the beer is full, low carbonation, and a medium finish.
This beer is huge and malty. The alcohol is more warming than I prefer in a beer, to the point of being hot. A solid beer, I am not a fan. The beer, to me, does not have the finesse of a better beer in this style. The is not as balanced as I would prefer.
