Eisbock Helles

Pours a copper color with a light fog to the transparency. Head is two fingers of white foam, with good retention. Aroma is banana, clove, yeast esters, bread, caramel, and nutty malts. It has a heightened, more forceful nose than a typical Helles, but it's not brash or unbalanced. Flavor profile follows a similar thread, hitting clove, banana, fig, heavy bready malts, and mild earthy malts at close. It lingers on the palate for awhile after each sip. Mouth feel is smooth velvety with a soft body. Thickness is medium-thick. Overall, a heightened Helles in terms of intensity, without being overzealous.
