Pours a foggy copper color with two fingers of dense white foam. Aroma is clove and banana, but somewhat obscured. Toasty, bready, and faint nutty malts work there way into the mix, delivering the bulk of the nose. Flavor profile is clove, bready, nutty, and toasty malts with late banana. Grassy, herbaly, and spicy hops push the flavor profile further into complexity. The whole flavor profile is elevated by a fruity yeast ester, which adds just enough sweetness to bring the whole thing together wonderfully. Finish is clean. The 11% ABV never pops through. Mouth feel is decadent, with a thick creamy texture, and a medium-thick consistency. Overall, a creamy, decadent ale that does well to bring so much variety together in each sip. The fruity yeast ester is really wonderful.
