Pours a dark brown with obscuring haze to the transparency. Head is two fingers of tan foam. Aroma is grassy, herbaly, and spicy hops right out front. Toasty, bready, and caramel malts come together afterwards, shifting from light to dark (but not heavy). Heavy raw grain note at the back. Flavor profile carries the same hop - malt dynamics, hitting herbal, spicy, and grassy hops first, before big toasty, bready, and caramely malts sweep into the scene. Hearty raw grain at the back mingles with a black tea character. Mouth feel is medium-thin with a soft creaminess except at the start, which carries a light, thin crispness. Overall, big and full of flavors without a big ABV. The black tea and raw grain notes are a bit perplexing though.
