Solid but lighter red with good balance/mouthfeel; a slightly sweetish, caramelly, malty flavor and a clean, quick-fading aftertaste. Very quaffable indeed.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of roasted malt, caramel and toffee. Nice roasty taste with caramel and toffee.

12oz bottle pours a hazy red-orange-brown color with a dense, plentiful head of light brown-colored foam that fades to a thin layer while leaving plenty of lacing. Smells of toasty malts and caramel. Solid but one-dimensional flavor of toasty malts with a notable caramel flavor. Mild bitterness and a subtle grassy-herbal hop flavor. Mild sweetness, medium body, smooth carbonation mouthfeel, and a light hop aftertaste.
Feels decently balanced and very sessionable. It says it was brewed for the football season, and it's probably well enjoyed in that context. I probably won't buy it again since it wasn't a very interesting drinking experience, but it's by no means bad.
