Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 fl oz can on November 11, 2017. Canned 10/16/17. A juicy wallonian beer fermented with blended yeast. Hops include Vic secret, Pacifica and Mandarina.

Canned 10/16/17; drank 11/4/17 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dull orange rust appearance.
A violent pour yielded a nice, noisy off-white head; frothy lace.
Caramel, grapefruit & faint baking soda notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel. Cloying caramel & grapefruit flavors up front; mild booze heat & faint urine notes on the finish.
A ghoulish version of an American Barleywine, which is already a terrible style; the fact that they were shooting for an IPA makes this unforgivable. Hopefully Motor Row Brewing is to blame.

12oz can, Vic Secret, 10.16.17 "Lobster Butter" stamped on the can, poured into a 14oz snifter glass.
The beer pours a very murky and turbid brownish color, definitely looks like "lobster butter" or chicken broth or some kind of odd tea perhaps with a finger of firm but soapy white head, moderate retention but excellent lacing. The aroma is pleasant, tons of melon forward hops, light tropical punch, a bit floral, soft grain and yeast. The flavors are good, very melon forward with some underlying tropical fruits, more herbal and almost minty on the tongue with some grassy flavors and a light amount of breadiness. The mouthfeel is great, coating medium body, lively with a wonderfully active texture that still feels delicate and gentle with an easy creamy finish with light dryness.
Verdict: A good IPA from Middle Brow, it sure looks like hell but thankfully, it does taste good. The balance is nice and the hops are quite aromatic and bright and knowing a portion of the proceeds are going to a good cause is reason enough to pick this beer up.
