Tasting notes: Beer Sommelier diploma Karl Zuser jun.
Due to the large demand for the IPA alias Innviertler Pale Ale large amounts were needed to Cascade and Amarillo. This opportunity was used to brew this extremely successful specialty.
The 18.5 grädige wheat Doppelbock was " stuffed" with huge (according to his own statements ) amounts of these two American hop varieties . Result was / is a beer that has no equal. Since the degree of fermentation is not very high , is hardly a hop bitterness felt. The sweetness keeps elegant contrast and hides the alcohol content of 7.3 %. In Antrunk it almost feel like you have a beer mixed drink ( " Radler " ) in the glass. This suspicion is but immediately defused by the pleasant , creamy mouth feel and the slight hop bitterness in the finish.
In my opinion once more a product which highlights the competence of wheat beer brewery Ried .
Available in a limited edition (1620 bottles) at Gasthof Riedberg
