Poured to a BrewDog snifter.
A: Body is pitch black with a dark beige to roasted brown head. Pours with a half an inch thickness but then fades away.
S: Aroma is very strong on maple syrup. You can feel some milky tones as well. There's caramel, milk chocolate, and still some alcohol evidence. But the strongest thing here is the maple syrup profile.
T: Taste starts with sweet milky tone of lactose, going quickly through a toffee like flavour before jumping to a pool of maple syrup. Maybe it's too much but it's still delicious.
M: Body is medium high. Alcohol is barely noticeable. Carbonation is good. Bitterness is low as sweetness is mildly high.
O: Overall, very nice pastry stout from Basqueland.
