Bought in Cantinho Café, Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo almost a year ago. Poured into a BrewDog snifter.
Beer made in collaboration with Põhjala Brewery to celebrate the 7th anniversary of Basqueland.
A: Pours a beautiful and thick pitch black body creating a fluffy, light dark brown head. Nice retention.
S: Aroma is brilliant, with giant notes of black coffee, caramel, milk chocolate and a hint of vanilla.
T: Taste follows along, with black coffee blending together the notes of vanilla and caramel, bringing everything together.
M: Body is high. Carbonation is spot on. Alcohol is quite noticeable, more than I wished for. Bitterness is medium-high.
O: Another great American Imperial Stout by Basqueland. They just keep putting out brilliant things.
