Poured from a Ball can to a BrewDog snifter.
A: Body is pitch dark, heavy and creamy. Head is a light brown with tons of lacing, persistency and creamy too.
S: Aroma is predominantly chocolate-y, vanilla and coffee. There's not an element of surprise here but the aroma is quite strong and delicious.
T: Taste starts off with the sweet notes of vanilla and strawberry - though the strawberry tone is not powerful, it's there and it rounds up the vanilla tones a bit more with this fake-fruity flavour - imagine department store strawberry ice cream. Though in theory strawberries have a slight acidic and bitter tone, here they don't have but the connection with the bitterness from expresso and the overall roastiness of the beer create a very interesting, two-tone taste experience.
M: Body is high. Carbonation is perfect. Alcohol is bit too high (10.4% ABV) and is slightly felt in the mouth. Sweetness is high. Bitterness is medium high.
O: Another great Imperial Stout by Basqueland. I really love these guys.
