Straw yellow with a nice soap bubble head-cobweb lacing clings to the glass. A bit weak smelling. Tropical and floral hops. Malt is there but it sits in the back. Lemon, bright citrus and flowers. Finishes clean. Light bodied and a tad watery. Goes down really easy with no off flavors. Alcohol is hidden well.
This is a nice, crisp drinker. Nothing outrageous but a good representation of the style. More nose and body would but this one over the top. Recommended.

This was on tap in 16oz glass.
It was very fresh smelling, green floraly hops with a bit of citrus. It reminds me very much of their ipa.
It tastes as grassy and flowery as it smelled and some slight dankness. Very fresh flavors. It is pretty pungent. The malt body is light. There is lemon and grapefruit, but it is really more herbal.
Medium body and carbonation.
To ms this is a bit lighter bodied, more in your face hoped version of their ipa. Very good beer which I may like better.

Poured from a growler into a Teku glass
A: Light orange with a one-finger head that quickly settles
S: Fresh citrus zest, grass & earth. Light but potent if that makes sense
T: Matches the nose. Fresh dry hop notes up front with an earthy finish
M: Light-bodied overall, dry, fresh and crisp
O: I can tell this is one of those new style IPAs that only hop towards the end of the boil. It works. This is dry and more earthy rather than fresh citrus/pine but is tasty and well made

Just had a fresh batch on tap!
Pours out a golden orange with a minimal white head.
Aroma is huge! Tons of citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit and a nice dank quality as well.
Taste is also dominated by orange, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, dank notes. Extremely hoppy with a slightly malt backbone.
Finished very crisp and dry making you want to take another sip.
Overall, another excellent IPA from Columbus!

Am I missing something here . . . ? I haven't heard really good things about this beer. Not hate just no love. And after having this ipa finally all I can say is we must be pretty spoiled here in Ohio if Thunderlips is being considered average. CBC know how to handle hops and it shows again. I wouldn't mind seeing this one in bottles guys.

32oz growler filled at Heinen's in Mayfield Village, Ohio
32oz growler poured into a pint glass. Pours golden with nice clarity; small eggshell white head that leaves okay lacing and retention. The aromas are very nice. It has that signature Columbus hop profile, but is still somewhat unique. Lots of tropical notes. Pineapple and sweet mango along with some fresh pine in the mix. There's also some citrus notes present. Some sweet malts, but the malts take a backseat. The flavors aren't as exciting as the nose, in my opinion, but they're still very enjoyable. More hop bittnerness than hop flavors in the bitterness, but the hop flavors still do their thing. More tropical notes. Slightly earthy. Simply tons of ripe fruit stealing the show. Subtle black pepper notes, but it's really not a spicy brew. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's medium-bodied with active carbonation. Very smooth and easy to drink.
This is a very nice IPA. It might not be my favorite IPA that I've had from Columbus, but there's honestly not much to complain about. A lot of breweries would love to have this as their star IPA, in my humble opinion. Solid brew.
