32oz growler filled at Heinen's in Mentor, Ohio
This DIPA features Mosaic and Equinox hops. Growler poured into a tulip. Pours a light golden with great clarity and transparency; bubbly eggshell white head that slowly falls leaving nice retention and nice lacing. Looks really good. The aromas are what you would expect from mosaic hops. Very tropical and pungent. Lots of ripe mango. Hints of citrus in the mix. Grapefruit and lemon is there. Malts take a backseat. The flavors follow the nose. Earthy hop vines. More mango with hints of peach. Nice blend of tropical and citrus notes. Lots of lemon and lime coming from the equinox hops. Some fresh pine in the mix as well. Slightly spicy. Once again, the malts take a backseat. The hops shine. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's on the lighter side of full-bodied with active carbonation. Very smooth and easy to drink. Dangerously drinkable.
Well done. Columbus knows their hops. Great beer for a great cause. Check it out if you see it.
