look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 4
Description: Dark honey color with maybe half a finger of white head when poured into a pint glass. Smell is similar to a tripel, e.g., you get some spice with it. Overall though, smell was not that pronounced. Taste is also similar to a tripel with nutmeg, cinnamon and other spices. A bit of bitterness of the finish and I thought there was either some smokiness or wood as well. Feel is definitely different from a tripel as it was much closer to an amber in that regard: medium to thick body with little carbonation.

Suggested food pairing: Bratwurst

If you like this beer then you should also try: Fin du Monde

Overall: 4 (This beer is good and I may or may not drink it again) A nice combination of a Belgian tripel and an amber ale, the two styles are complementary and don't interfere with one another. Definitely an upgrade on a normal amber, which are generally bland and generic.
