This deep golden Pale Ale is brewed with Simpsons Golden Promise malt to create a backbone for thunderous additions of Mosaic and Equinox hops.

Look: Slightly hazy gold with a two-finger head. Decent retention, visible lacing
Smell: Floral at the opening of the bottle, then some bready malt. Notes of citrus, berry, earthy
Taste: A kiss of sweetness of the tip of the tongue, if you aren’t looking for it you’ll probably miss it because the taste quickly goes to bitter and a bit tart.
Flavor: Some passionfruit and mango, grapefruit is detectable but not prominent. The berry flavor of Mosaic comes through well. The malt is definitely present but is nicely attenuated by the bitterness of the hops.
Feel: Overall it’s a dry beer. Medium-thin mouthfeel. Modest carbonation. Crisp clean finish.
Overall: I like it. I don’t love it, but I would definitely drink it again. Drier than most of the beers I had lately, it’s a nice change of scenery. First beer I had (that I know of) that has Equinox hops. I like how they add a citrus note to the berry of the Mosaic. I think the Equinox attenuates a lot of the Mosaic’s cornucopia of flavors leaving primarily the berry like flavor. I would call it a success.

Bottled on 10/18/18 (4.5months old). Aroma muted. Hops have definitely faded but you can still tell there is a nice balance going on in this Pale Ale as for 5.3% it has a nice full body. Would like to try again fresher.

Another fantastic beer from CBC. This has become one of my usual sixers to grab.

Shimmering golden colored body topped with a frothy white head and leaving specks of foam down the glass. Fine aroma blend of citrus and pine; orange, pineapple and grapefruit. The taste comes across like a weak cereal and sharp citrus combination; nicely bittered; lemon zest and grapefruit qualities. Medium body; sharp and prickly on the palate with a primarily dry finish.

Bottled 101818

A satisfying American pale ale that seems relatively light in body and flavor but definitely packing some punchy hop bitterness.

Lovely color. Golden almost like orange juice. No head to mention. No lacing either. Taste and after taste are hard to describe. Almost resinous is the best I can offer. Nice beer.

Little more hazier than the IPA and I actually like this beer better than the IPA. A bit more tartier than IPA Very juicy and crisp with a smooth finish

A: Pours a relatively clear medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate apricot + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy bright white head that reduces to a couple of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of floral, herbal, citrus/grapefruit, citrus/grapefruit pith, tropical/mango, and tropical/papaya hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of wheat + toasted + caramel malts with a hint of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of wheat + toasted + caramel malts with a hint of caramel sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of floral, herbal, citrus/grapefruit, citrus/grapefruit pith, tropical/mango, and tropical/papaya hops which impart a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and crisp mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a pleasant hop profile. Definitely glad I picked this one up.
