Description: Maybe a little cloudier and darker than a normal Bodhi but has the same white head and lacing. The aroma isn't quite as fruit forward; not the big pop of mango/citrus you get with a normal Bodhi. Not much cucumber in the smell, but the cucumber certainly comes through on the taste. And it's nicely done-not overwhelming or gratuitous. Just enough so that you can clearly taste it, both on the front and back of the palate. Feel is medium in both body and carbonation.
Suggested food pairing: Cucumber?
If you like this beer then you should also try: Bodhi?
Overall: 4.25 (This beer is good and I would likely drink it again) Tinkering with the classics can be challenging. If I were to add a few lines of dialogue to the middle of Hamlet it probably wouldn't improve the play. But provided that the change wasn't too far fetched (e.g., Hamlet freestyle rap battles his uncle) it probably wouldn't detract from the fact that Hamlet is a classic. So it is with this beer. The cucumber infusion was nicely done and an interesting variant but I don't know that it really made Bodhi better. Still, try it if you get a chance. Unless you're really opposed to cucumber you won't regret it.
