This brew was part of a tasting flight, sampled on the day after its release party at CBC.
It poured a copper color with a light orange hue. Couldn't get that clear of an idea of its head due to the size of the taster. The nose featured lots of nutmeg, cinnamon, and a general warm spiciness, along with the pumpkin. The flavor also featured nutmeg and cinnamon spicing up the sublte roasted malt and smooth pumpkin character. It was very well balanced and not overwrought like many of the pumplin ales I have had.
This beer can actually be drank with a meal without it killing whatever food you might be eating. One of the best pumpkin ale I have had.
